Question: Odd sound?
I recently bought a 2005 Grand Prix with the 3.8 Series 3 motor. There where a few issues such as the coolant elbows leaking, and a sound that I can only describe as a pop/tick/rattle that appears when the car is first started. The dealership said it was an exhaust problem, it's quiet and you don't really hear it unless you have the hood open or are in the car and the radio, heater/AC are off. I can't seem to pin point what it is. It's apparent when the motor is started after its been cooled down and it goes away after the motor has warmed up. Any ideas what it could be?
