This is an E4OD 4x4 transmission with a metal grinding clunking sound when you shift int D range. Cold or hot when you put the trans into D range it clungs rattle and grinds all metalic. Both rears have been inspected, u joints and center support bearings ok, transfer case dissassembled inspected and ok. fluids ok no burnt smell nice and red. when in D range and you slow to a stop and it auto shifts into 1st it makes this noise. If you manually downshift or start from the manual 1st gate there is no noise only in the D range and only in 1st gear in D range. No noise anytime in P,R,N,2,1 only in D range and only in 1st in the D range.
