Question: cause of "hold" flashing

2006 verona hold light flashes. it takes a bit longer than normal to start and then when shift into drive car feels heavy and loud. if i reset the computer by disconecting the battery it runs normal for a while and then the problem repeats.

I'm not a mechanic but I have a 2004 suzuki verona and when my hold light flashed I had to have the transmission replaced
