Question: calipers locking up
We have recently replaced all the brake pads and rotors. The caliper on the front passenger side started sticking right after that so we replaced it, about a week later the same one locked up so we replaced that one and now its locking up again. I'm beginning to think its not the caliper but something else. From the caliper locking up the brake pad is completely worn down and the rotor needs replaced. The car will run good without a problem for about a week then the brakes will start to get worse (that's when I know the calipers will begin to mess up any time), then the car will start to shake really bad (it will shake the entire car), and will take a while to accelerate. After a little bit the right passenger tire will smoke and smell really bad, it got so hot it melted my hub cap. If I let the car sit all weekend the problem will seem to go away for about a week and will happen all over again until I let it sit for a while. A friend of mine looked at it and said the pistons are hard to move in and out. A couple people looked at it but doesn't know what's wrong. Please help me, I've already missed out on so much work and even got suspended because of this. Thank you in advance :)
